AWP1 Antibody (B-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects AWP1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). AWP1 (B-5) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. AWP1, also known as zinc finger A20 domain-containing protein 3 (ZA20D3) or AN1-type zinc finger protein 6 (ZFAND6 or ZFAND5B), plays a crucial role in cellular signaling as a potent inhibitor of the NFκB pathway, which is vital for regulating immune responses and inflammation. AWP1 is ubiquitously expressed, with highest levels found in liver, kidney, placenta, heart, and skeletal muscle, indicating importance in various physiological processes. Structurally, AWP1 contains two conserved domains, an AN1-type zinc finger and an A20-type zinc finger, along with multiple phosphorylation and glycosylation sites essential for function and stability. These domains and modifications suggest AWP1 may interact with specific proteins, including PKN, to modulate signal transduction pathways, thereby influencing cellular responses to stress and inflammation. Two isoforms of AWP1 exist due to alternative splicing, with isoform 1 representing mature full-length protein and isoform 2 lacking a segment of amino acids, which may affect functional properties.
