Autotaxin Antibody (E-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects Autotaxin protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Autotaxin antibody (E-12) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Autotaxin, also known as ectonucleotide pyrophosphatase/phosphodiesterase 2 (E-NPP 2), is a membrane-bound glycoprotein that plays a crucial role in the hydrolysis of lysophosphatidylcholine to produce lysophosphatidic acid, a potent bioactive lipid involved in various cellular processes such as cell proliferation, migration, and survival. Anti-Autotaxin antibody (E-12) modulates the tumor microenvironment, promoting cancer cell motility and invasion, which has significant implications for cancer progression and metastasis. Originally isolated from the human melanoma cell line A2058, Autotaxin is predominantly expressed in tissues such as the brain, placenta, ovary, and small intestine, highlighting its diverse physiological roles. Additionally, Autotaxin shares significant homology with the cell membrane differentiation antigen PC-1, further underscoring its relevance in cellular signaling pathways.
