Attractin Antibody (D-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects Attractin protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-Attractin antibody (D-8) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Attractin, also known as DPPT-L, plays a crucial role in cell adhesion and guidance as a member of the CUB family. Attractin is expressed on activated T cells and released from these cells 48 to 72 hours post-activation, which is vital for modulating immune responses. Attractin has been implicated in the regulation of body weight, as Attractin interacts with melanocortin receptors to suppress diet-induced obesity, highlighting its significance in metabolic processes. The extracellular domain of mouse Attractin serves as the ortholog of the human protein, emphasizing the evolutionary conservation of its function across species.
