ASPP1 Antibody (LX011) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects ASPP1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry. ASPP1 Antibody (LX011) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ASPP1 plays a crucial role in regulating apoptosis by enhancing the apoptotic function of the tumor suppressor protein p53, particularly in response to cellular stress. ASPP1 (LX011) monoclonal antibody helps detect this interaction that prevents the survival of damaged cells, thereby contributing to cancer prevention. ASPP1 amplifies the DNA binding and transactivation capabilities of p53 on the promoters of pro-apoptotic genes, which is essential for effective apoptosis. ASPP1 is predominantly located in the cytoplasm, with a portion also found in the nucleus, highlighting a dynamic role in cellular signaling pathways. ASPP1 expression is often downregulated in human breast carcinomas that express wild-type p53, suggesting significant involvement in tumor suppression mechanisms. Defects in the PPP1R13B gene, which encodes ASPP1, have been implicated in breast cancer development, underscoring the importance in maintaining cellular integrity. The deduced ASPP1 protein consists of 1,090 amino acid residues, reflecting complex structure and functional capabilities.
