    SEE ALSO...

ASPHD2 Antibody (E-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects ASPHD2 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ASPHD2 monoclonal antibody (E-9) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ASPHD2, or aspartate beta-hydroxylase domain containing 2, is a 369 amino acid single-pass type II membrane protein that plays a crucial role in the hydroxylation of aspartate residues, which is essential for the proper functioning of various proteins and signaling pathways. This post-translational modification influences protein stability, activity, and interactions, thereby impacting cellular processes such as differentiation and response to stress. ASPHD2 is encoded by a gene located on human chromosome 22q12.1, a region associated with several genetic disorders, including Phelan-McDermid syndrome and neurofibromatosis type 2. Understanding ASPHD2 function and modifications can provide insights into its role in these conditions and potential as a therapeutic target.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-390986 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: jenniferc
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
