ASNSD1 Antibody (C-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects ASNSD1 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ASNSD1 (C-7) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ASNSD1, also known as asparagine synthetase domain containing 1 or HCV NS3-transactivated protein 1, is a 643 amino acid protein characterized by one asparagine synthetase domain and a glutamine amidotransferase type-2 domain, which are crucial for enzymatic functions. ASNSD1 plays a significant role in amino acid metabolism, particularly in asparagine synthesis, which is vital for protein synthesis and cellular function. ASNSD1′s ability to regulate asparagine levels is particularly important in certain cancers, where asparagine depletion can inhibit tumor growth. The gene encoding ASNSD1 is located on human chromosome 2, a chromosome notable for its size and association with various genetic diseases, including Harlequin ichthyosis and Alström syndrome, highlighting ASNSD1′s importance in both normal physiology and disease states.
