ASGPR2 Antibody (B-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects ASGPR2 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ASGPR2 (B-4) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Asialoglycoprotein Receptor 2 (ASGPR2) is a type II integral membrane protein predominantly expressed in hepatic cells, where ASGPR2 plays a crucial role in glycoprotein clearance from circulation. ASGPR2 is composed of two homologous subunits, ASGPR1 and ASGPR2, which together form multimeric complexes that facilitate receptor function. Each subunit contains four functional domains: a cytosolic domain, a transmembrane domain, a stalk domain, and a carbohydrate recognition domain (CRD). The CRD enables ASGPR2 to specifically bind glycoproteins with terminal galactose and N-acetylgalactosamine residues in the presence of calcium ions. Following binding, ASGPR2-glycoprotein complexes are internalized into cells, allowing for receptor-ligand dissociation, after which ASGPR2 recycles back to the cell membrane. ASGPR2 also interacts with hepatitis B virus (HBV), facilitating viral entry into liver cells, which positions ASGPR2 as a potential therapeutic target for HBV infection.
