Arp3 Antibody (A-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects the Arp3 protein of Saccharomyces cerevisiae origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Arp3 (A-10) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The Arp3 protein plays a crucial role in actin polymerization, which is essential for numerous cellular functions such as chemotaxis, cell migration, cell adhesion, and platelet activation. Actin polymerization is initiated through the Arp2/3 complex, which includes Arp2 and Arp3, along with several accessory proteins. This complex is vital for nucleating new actin filaments and facilitating the branching of existing filaments into a dense network, thereby enabling dynamic restructuring of the cytoskeleton. The Arp2/3 complex binds to the pointed end of actin filaments or associates with the sides of existing filaments, promoting growth in the barbed direction. Additionally, Arp2/3 complex activity is regulated by the Rho family of small GTPases, particularly Cdc42, which activates the complex through interaction with WASP proteins, leading to the formation of lamellipodia and filopodia. This intricate regulation underscores Arp3′s importance in maintaining cellular architecture and facilitating movement, making anti-Arp3 antibody (A-10) an invaluable tool for researchers studying cytoskeletal dynamics and related cellular processes.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-376625 P appropriate for?

Asked by: TinTin
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
