ARHGAP21 Antibody (E-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects ARHGAP21 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ARHGAP21 (E-10) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ARHGAP21 protein, also known as Rho GTPase activating protein 21 or ARHGAP10, is a critical regulator of cellular signaling pathways, functioning primarily as a GTPase-activating protein for Cdc42 and Rho A. ARHGAP21 consists of 1,957 amino acids, is predominantly localized to the membrane of the Golgi apparatus, cell junctions, and cytoplasm, and contains one Rho-GAP domain, one pleckstrin homology (PH) domain, and one PDZ domain. ARHGAP21 maintains the structure and activity of the Golgi apparatus, which plays a vital role in protein sorting and trafficking within the cell. ARHGAP21 is highly expressed in tissues such as the heart, placenta, brain, and skeletal muscle, and expression increases during cellular differentiation. Disruption of ARHGAP21 levels can lead to significant cellular changes, including increased cell spreading and formation of Actin stress fibers, highlighting importance in cytoskeletal organization and cellular morphology. Multiple isoforms of ARHGAP21 arise from alternative splicing, which may contribute to diverse functional roles in different cellular contexts.
