Datasheets
  • AP-4ε Antibody (32) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 κ AP-4ε antibody, cited in 1 publications, provided at 200 µg/ml
  • raised against amino acids 685-793 of AP-4ε of human origin
  • recommended for detection of AP-4ε of human origin by WB and IP
  • m-IgGκ BP-HRP is the preferred secondary detection reagent for AP-4ε Antibody (32) for WB applications. This reagent is now offered in a bundle with AP-4ε Antibody (32) (see ordering information below). For additional m-IgGκ BP conjugates see our complete list of Mouse IgG Binding Proteins.

SEE ALSO...

AP-4ε Antibody (32) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects AP-4 epsilon (AP-4ε) by western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). Anti-AP-4ε antibody (32) is available as a non-conjugated monoclonal isotype antibody. AP-4ε is a crucial component of the adapter-related protein complex 4, which plays a significant role in intracellular transport by mediating cargo incorporation into transport vesicles. AP-4ε functions within a protein complex essential for sorting and trafficking proteins within cells, particularly in the trans-Golgi network and endosomal pathways. The AP-4 complex consists of four subunits: AP-4b, AP-4e, AP-4m, and AP-4s, interacting with various cargo proteins through specific motifs in their cytoplasmic tails. AP-4ε contributes to basolateral protein sorting in epithelial cells and participates in glutamate receptor d2 (Grid2) trafficking in the brain, highlighting AP-4ε′s importance in neuronal function and signaling. AP-4ε shows widespread expression in the brain, with localization in Golgi-like structures within neuronal cell bodies and dendrites, underscoring AP-4ε′s vital role in maintaining cellular homeostasis and communication.

I am using AP-4ε (32): sc-135835 antibody for immunoprecipitation, how much antibody should I use?

Asked by: cjMara
Thank you for your question. We recommend using 1–10 µl (i.e., 0.2–2 µg) of antibody with 1 ml of cell lysate. However, optimal antibody concentration should be determined by titration. Please find our full immunoprecipitation protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoprecipitation-western-blots
