ANT3 Antibody (2A9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 kappa light chain antibody that detects ANT3 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-ANT3 antibody (2A9) is available as the non-conjugated format. ANT3, also known as SLC25A6, ADP/ATP translocase 3, or AAC3, is a crucial 298 amino acid mitochondrial protein that plays a significant role in cellular energy metabolism by facilitating the exchange of ADP and ATP across the mitochondrial inner membrane. This exchange maintains cellular energy balance, as ATP serves as the primary energy currency, while ADP is a key substrate for ATP regeneration. ANT3 is implicated in forming the permeability transition pore complex (PTPC), a structure that regulates apoptosis, highlighting ANT3′s importance in cell survival and death pathways. ANT3 is encoded by a gene located on the pseudoautosomal region 1 (PAR1) of the X and Y chromosomes and features three solcar repeats, which are essential for function. ANT3 interacts with various proteins, including VPRBP (HIV-1 Vpr) and influenza A virus PB1-F2, indicating potential involvement in viral pathogenesis and cellular stress responses.
