  • specific for an epitope mapping between amino acids 254-281 of ANT1 of human origin
  • recommended for detection of ANT1 of human origin by WB, IP, IF and ELISA
  • Anti-ANT1 Antibody (E-7) is available conjugated to agarose for IP; HRP for WB, IHC(P) and ELISA; and to either phycoerythrin or FITC for IF, IHC(P) and FCM
  • also available conjugated to Alexa Fluor® 488, Alexa Fluor® 546, Alexa Fluor® 594 or Alexa Fluor® 647 for WB (RGB), IF, IHC(P) and FCM, and for use with RGB fluorescent imaging systems, such as iBright™ FL1000, FluorChem™, Typhoon, Azure and other comparable systems
  • also available conjugated to Alexa Fluor® 680 or Alexa Fluor® 790 for WB (NIR), IF and FCM; for use with Near-Infrared (NIR) detection systems, such as LI-COR®Odyssey®, iBright™ FL1000, FluorChem™, Typhoon, Azure and other comparable systems
  • m-IgG1 BP-HRP is the preferred secondary detection reagent for ANT1 Antibody (E-7) for WB applications. This reagent is now offered in a bundle with ANT1 Antibody (E-7) (see ordering information below).

ANT1 (E-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody. Anti-ANT1 antibody (E-7) detects ANT1 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-ANT1 antibody (E-7) is available as non-conjugated form, as well as multiple conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Adenine nucleotide translocator 1 (ANT1) and voltage-dependent anion-selective channel proteins 1 and 2 (VDAC1 and VDAC2) are components of the permeability transition pore complex (PTPC) of mitochondrial inner and outer membranes, respectively. Formation of PTPCs, subsequent dissipation of mitochondrial inner membrane potential, and release of cytochrome c through outer mitochondrial membrane are critical events in early stages of apoptosis. Bax, a proapoptotic protein, acts upon ANT1 to induce dissipation of mitochondrial inner membrane potential. ANT1 maintains mitochondrial DNA by catalyzing exchange of ADP and ATP across mitochondrial inner membrane.
