    SEE ALSO...

Annexin VIII Antibody (C-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody designed to detect Annexin VIII, also known as ANXA8, Annexin A8, or Vascular Anticoagulant Beta antibody, across multiple applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Annexin VIII monoclonal antibody (C-11) targets a specific epitope between amino acids 120-154 within an internal region of human Annexin VIII, ensuring selective and reliable binding. Annexin VIII is a member of the annexin family of calcium-binding proteins, characterized by a conserved core domain that facilitates phospholipid binding in a calcium-dependent manner. Within cells, Annexin VIII primarily localizes to the cytoplasm and participates in membrane-related processes such as endocytosis, exocytosis, and vesicle trafficking. Precise localization maintains cellular homeostasis and facilitates communication between cellular compartments, playing a vital role in processes like ion flux regulation, cellular adhesion, and signal transduction. Annexin VIII interacts with specific proteins, including calmodulin and protein kinase C (PKC), which are essential for various signaling pathways and cellular responses to environmental stimuli. These interactions underscore Annexin VIII′s importance in cellular differentiation, particularly in hematopoietic cells, and elevated expression in acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL) cells highlights potential as a biomarker for certain malignancies. Anti-Annexin VIII antibody (C-11) exhibits strong reactivity with Annexin VIII from mouse, rat, and human origins, providing versatility for comparative studies across different model organisms. Available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates, Annexin VIII (C-11) antibody offers flexible options to meet diverse experimental needs.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-514498 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: jenniferc
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
