SEE ALSO...

Annexin V Antibody (130) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody engineered to detect Annexin V, also known as Lipocortin V or Annexin 5, across various applications including western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). Anti-Annexin V antibody (130) is raised against recombinant avian Annexin V and demonstrates strong reactivity with human and avian Annexin V, while also recognizing mouse Annexin V to a lesser extent. Annexin V (130) antibody is a pivotal member of the annexin family of calcium-binding proteins, which are integral to numerous cellular processes such as ion flux regulation, endocytosis, exocytosis, and cellular adhesion. The ability of Annexin V to bind phospholipids in a calcium-dependent manner is crucial for apoptotic cell recognition and membrane organization, making Annexin V a key player in studies related to apoptosis, inflammation, and cancer research. Understanding the function of Annexin V is essential for elucidating its role in regulating protein kinase C (PKC) activity and involvement in various signaling pathways. Annexin V monoclonal antibody (130) is available in both non-conjugated form and multiple conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and several Alexa Fluor® conjugates, providing versatile options for diverse experimental needs. Additionally, Annexin V′s widespread expression in tissues and cells underscores importance in fundamental cellular processes and potential as a biomarker in various disease states. Anti-Annexin V antibody (130) provides researchers with a robust reagent that facilitates advanced studies into the intricate roles of this essential protein.

I will be conducting an immunofluorescence stain tomorrow with rat dopaminergic cells. What dilution factor should I use?

Asked by: gatorgirl1
Thank you for your question. I would recommend a starting dilution of 1:50 for this antibody on dopaminergic cells. Here is a link to our recommended protocol: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunofluorescence-cell-staining If you have any further questions, please contact Technical Service by phone, (800)-457-3801 option 2, email <scbt@scbt.com>, or by live chat directly on our website, www.scbt.com.

I am using the LiCor/Odyssey system. Which secondary antibody do you recommend using with Annexin V (130): sc-32321?

Asked by: jerojero
We recommend using one of our our exclusive Mouse IgG Binding Proteins conjugated to CFL 680 or CFL 790. They are suitable for use with Near-Infrared (NIR) detection systems, such as LI-COR/Odyssey and other comparable systems. A complete list of available binding proteins is available on our website here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/browse/support-products-mouse-igg-binding-proteins/_/N-ecrety
