    SEE ALSO...

ANKRD50 Antibody (E-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects ANKRD50 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-ANKRD50 antibody (E-12) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ANKRD50 protein consists of 1,429 amino acids and contains nineteen ankyrin repeats, playing a crucial role in cellular signaling and protein-protein interactions, particularly in the context of the cytoskeleton. ANKRD50 functions as a phosphoprotein vital for maintaining cellular integrity and facilitating communication between the cell membrane and cytoskeleton, essential for processes such as cell shape maintenance, motility, and intracellular transport. Mutations in ankyrin genes, including ANKRD50, can lead to severe genetic disorders, highlighting ANKRD50′s importance in human health. ANKRD50 gene is conserved across various species, including chimpanzees, dogs, cows, and zebrafish, and is located on human chromosome 4q28.1, a region associated with several genetic conditions. Understanding ANKRD50′s role in cellular processes can provide insights into potential implications in diseases linked to cytoskeletal dysfunction and genetic disorders.
