ANKFY1 Antibody (B-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects ANKFY1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-ANKFY1 antibody (B-6) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ANKFY1, also known as ankyrin repeats hooked to a zinc finger motif, ANKHZN, or ZFYVE14, is a 1,169 amino acid peripheral membrane protein that plays a crucial role in vesicle and protein transport, which is essential for maintaining cellular homeostasis and facilitating communication between different cellular compartments. ANKFY1 is predominantly localized to endosomal membranes and the cytoplasm, with highest expression levels found in the adult brain, highlighting its importance in neural function and signaling. ANKFY1 exists as two alternatively spliced isoforms and features 21 ankyrin repeats, one BTB (POZ) domain, and a single FYVE-type zinc finger, which are critical for its interactions with other proteins and functional versatility. The gene encoding ANKFY1 is located on human chromosome 17, a region that is significant in cancer research due to its association with key tumor suppressor genes such as p53 and BRCA1, underscoring the potential implications of ANKFY1 in oncogenic processes.
