Angiotensinogen Antibody (H-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects Angiotensinogen of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Angiotensinogen antibody (H-12) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Angiotensinogen, produced primarily in the liver, plays a crucial role in the renin-angiotensin system, which regulates blood pressure and fluid balance. Upon stimulation by low blood pressure, the kidneys secrete renin, which cleaves angiotensinogen to produce Angiotensin I, a precursor that is further converted to Angiotensin II, a potent vasoconstrictor. Angiotensin II influences extend beyond blood pressure regulation to cellular growth and remodeling, particularly in cardiac myocytes, where Angiotensin II can trigger hypertrophic responses. Angiotensin II has been shown to activate various signaling pathways, including the JAK/Stat pathway, through interaction with the angiotensin II type 1 receptor (AT1), highlighting a role in mediating cellular responses to stress and injury. Anti-Angiotensinogen antibody (H-12) effectively detects this critical protein, making this antibody an invaluable tool for researchers studying cardiovascular health, hypertension, and related disorders.
