Angiomotin-L2 Antibody (A-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Angiomotin-L2 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Angiomotin-L2 antibody (A-9) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Angiomotin-L2, also referred to as AMOTL2 or Leman Coiled-Coil Protein, is a 779 amino acid protein existing in multiple alternatively spliced isoforms, enabling diverse cellular functions. AMOTL2 primarily localizes to cell surface tight junctions, playing a crucial role in maintaining structural integrity. Tight junction preservation regulates paracellular permeability and maintains barrier function in epithelial and endothelial tissues. AMOTL2 interacts with angiostatin, influencing angiogenesis and endothelial cell migration, particularly relevant in tumor growth and metastasis. Due to involvement in these critical processes, AMOTL2 represents a significant target for therapeutic intervention in cancer and diseases characterized by aberrant angiogenesis.
