Anamorsin Antibody (A-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Anamorsin protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Anamorsin antibody (A-3) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Anamorsin, also known as cytokine-induced apoptosis inhibitor 1 (CIAPIN1), plays a vital role in regulating apoptosis during hematopoiesis, acting as a key mediator of the anti-apoptotic effects of several cytokines. The name derives from the Latin "ana-mors-in," meaning "anti-death molecule," highlighting a function in promoting cell survival. Anamorsin is predominantly located in the cytoplasm of liver, pancreas, and heart cells, where Anamorsin is crucial for maintaining cellular integrity under stress conditions. Notably, Anamorsin does not share homology with known apoptosis regulatory molecules from the Bcl-2 or CASP families, nor with signal transduction proteins, which underscores a unique role in apoptosis regulation. Expression of Anamorsin in mouse cells confers resistance to apoptosis induced by interleukin-3 deprivation, and Anamorsin expression is upregulated in response to growth factors such as erythropoietin, stem cell factor, thrombopoietin, and interleukin-3, all of which rely on RAS signaling pathways. This makes Anamorsin a significant protein in the context of cell survival and proliferation, particularly in hematopoietic cells.
