SEE ALSO...

AMPD2 Antibody (QQ13) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects human AMPD2 by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-AMPD2 antibody (QQ13) is available as a non-conjugated monoclonal isotype antibody. AMPD2, also known as liver-type AMP deaminase, plays a crucial role in energy metabolism by catalyzing the hydrolytic deamination of adenosine monophosphate (AMP) to inosine monophosphate (IMP) and ammonia. This enzymatic activity is vital for the purine nucleotide cycle, which is essential for cellular energy homeostasis. AMPD2 functions as a homotetramer and is predominantly expressed in undifferentiated myoblasts, smooth muscle, embryonic muscle, and various non-muscle tissues, distinguishing AMPD2 from isozymes AMPD1 and AMPD3, which are found in skeletal muscle and erythrocytes, respectively. Multiple isoforms of AMPD2, resulting from alternative splicing, highlight the complexity of regulation and function in different tissues, making AMPD2 an important target for studies related to energy metabolism and muscle physiology.
