SEE ALSO...

AMPD1 Antibody (D-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects AMPD1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). AMPD1 (D-7) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. AMPD1 protein, or adenosine monophosphate deaminase, is a crucial cytosolic enzyme that catalyzes the hydrolytic deamination of adenosine monophosphate (AMP) to inosine monophosphate (IMP) and ammonia, thereby playing a vital role in the purine nucleotide cycle and energy metabolism. Structurally, AMPD1 functions as a homotetramer and is one of three isozymes of AMP deaminase found in mammals, with the others being AMPD2 and AMPD3. While all three isozymes share a conserved C-terminal catalytic domain, they exhibit differences in their N-terminal domains, which may influence their specific regulatory mechanisms and tissue distribution. AMPD1 is predominantly expressed in skeletal muscle, while AMPD2 is found in undifferentiated myoblasts, smooth muscle, embryonic muscle, and non-muscle tissues, and AMPD3 is primarily expressed in erythrocytes. Deficiencies in the AMPD1 gene can lead to adenosine monophosphate deaminase deficiency muscle type (AMPDDM), a metabolic disorder characterized by exercise-related myopathy, which manifests as muscle aches, cramps, and early fatigue during physical activity.

I am using the LiCor/Odyssey system. Which secondary antibody do you recommend using with AMPD1 (D-7): sc-393117 monoclonal antibody?

Asked by: Cweed
We recommend using one of our our exclusive Mouse IgG Binding Proteins (m-IgGλ) conjugated to CFL 680 or CFL 790. They are suitable for use with Near-Infrared (NIR) detection systems, such as LI-COR/Odyssey and other comparable systems. A complete list of available binding proteins is available on our website here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/browse/support-products-mouse-igg-binding-proteins/_/N-ecrety
