    SEE ALSO...

ALS2CR4 Antibody (G-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects ALS2CR4 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ALS2CR4 (G-8) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ALS2CR4, also known as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis 2 (juvenile) chromosome region, candidate 4, is a 432 amino acid multi-pass membrane protein that plays a crucial role in the retina, where ALS2CR4 is highly enriched and localized to photoreceptor outer segments, the ciliary complex, and the postsynaptic outer plexiform layer. This localization suggests ALS2CR4 involvement in the maintenance and function of photoreceptors, which are essential for vision. Mutations in the ALS2 gene, which encodes the Alsin protein that acts as a guanine nucleotide exchange factor for Rab 5, have been linked to several juvenile recessive motor neuron diseases, including juvenile primary lateral sclerosis and infantile onset ascending hereditary spastic paralysis. ALS2CR4 interaction with the endocytic pathway and potential role in membrane transport events highlight ALS2CR4 importance in cellular processes that are critical for neuronal health and function.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-514651 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: Cweed
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
