α-sarcoglycan Antibody (D-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects α-sarcoglycan of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). α-sarcoglycan (D-7) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. α-sarcoglycan plays a crucial role in the integrity of the dystrophin-glycoprotein complex, which is essential for maintaining the structural stability of muscle cell membranes. α-sarcoglycan is primarily located in the cell membrane of skeletal, cardiac, and smooth muscle fibers, where α-sarcoglycan interacts with other sarcoglycan subunits—β-, γ-, and δ-sarcoglycan—to form a functional complex.
