SEE ALSO...

Alix Antibody (G-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Alix of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Alix antibody (G-10) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The ALG-2-interacting protein, commonly known as Alix, plays a crucial role in cellular processes by facilitating the sorting and concentration of cargo proteins within multivesicular bodies, which are essential for proper intracellular transport and communication. Alix is primarily located in the cytoplasm, where Alix interacts with several key proteins, including apoptosis-associated proteins such as ALG-2 and PDCD6, as well as endocytosis-regulating proteins like CIN85. Additionally, Alix is involved in recruiting endosomal sorting complexes required for transport (ESCRT) proteins, such as Tsg101 and CHMP4, which are vital for multivesicular body formation and HIV-1 budding regulation. Alix binding with endophilins, enzymes that modify membrane curvature, underscores Alix importance in early and late stages of coated vesicle formation. This multifaceted role in cellular dynamics highlights Alix significance in both normal physiological processes and disease states, making Alix monoclonal antibody (G-10) an invaluable research tool for studying these critical pathways.
