ALDH3A1 Antibody (G-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects ALDH3A1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ALDH3A1 (G-2) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ALDH3A1, also known as stomach type aldehyde dehydrogenase, plays a crucial role in the metabolism of aldehydes, particularly in the detoxification of harmful compounds and the regulation of oxidative stress. ALDH3A1 is primarily located in the cytoplasm, where ALDH3A1 forms a homodimer that preferentially oxidizes aromatic aldehyde substrates, thus contributing to cellular protection against oxidative damage. ALDH3A1′s cytoplasmic localization enables rapid response to increases in aldehyde levels, which can occur during metabolic stress or exposure to environmental toxins.
