AKAP 95 Antibody (F-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects AKAP 95 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). AKAP 95 Antibody (F-11) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. AKAP 95, also known as AKAP 8, is a crucial component of the nuclear matrix and is predominantly expressed in vital organs such as the liver, heart, pancreas, kidney, and skeletal muscle. AKAP 95′s primary function involves protein kinase A (PKA) signaling compartmentalization, which is essential for maintaining specific localization within the cell. During mitosis, AKAP 95 is recruited to chromosomes, playing a pivotal role in mitotic progression. AKAP 95 interacts with the RII regulatory subunit of PKA, facilitating precise signaling necessary for various cellular processes. AKAP 95 forms a complex with HA95 and histone deacetylase 3 (HDAC3), which is critical for Histone H3 deacetylation during mitosis, thereby influencing gene expression and chromatin structure. AKAP 95′s ability to anchor PKA and other signaling molecules underscores its importance in cellular signaling pathways and highlights its potential as a target for therapeutic interventions in diseases where these pathways are dysregulated.
