AIDA Antibody (7F6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects AIDA protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-AIDA antibody (7F6) is available as the non-conjugated isotype antibody. AIDA, also known as Axin interactor, dorsalization associated protein or C1orf80, consists of 306 amino acids and is a member of the axin interactor family. AIDA is expressed in various tissues, including skeletal muscle and heart, and plays a crucial role during embryogenesis as a ventralizing factor. AIDA disrupts Axin homodimerization and inhibits Axin-mediated c-Jun N-terminal kinase (JNK) activation, which is vital for both JNK signaling and the canonical Wnt pathway. These pathways are essential for proper embryonic dorsoventral patterning, and the negative regulation of JNK and Wnt signaling by AIDA can significantly impact developmental processes. AIDA undergoes alternative splicing, resulting in three distinct isoforms, which may have different functional roles in cellular signaling and development.
