    SEE ALSO...

AFP Antibody (E-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody engineered to detect alpha-fetoprotein (AFP), also known as α-fetoprotein, a crucial glycoprotein predominantly synthesized in the fetal liver during embryonic development. AFP features a single polypeptide chain with multiple binding domains, enabling transport of essential molecules such as copper, nickel, fatty acids, and hormones like estrogen. The intricate structure of AFP is vital for binding capabilities, which play a significant role in function as a transport protein and utility as a biomarker in various diseases. In normal adult tissues, AFP levels are minimal; however, elevated concentrations are strongly associated with hepatocellular carcinomas, making AFP a reliable marker for monitoring liver cancer progression and tumor growth. Anti-AFP antibody (E-7) is raised against amino acids 171-310 of human AFP and exhibits broad species reactivity, including mouse, rat, and human AFP, making AFP (E-7) antibody versatile for applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). By targeting a specific epitope on the structured regions of AFP, AFP (E-7) monoclonal antibody ensures accurate and consistent detection, which is essential for both research and clinical diagnostics. Understanding AFP′s structural interactions and regulatory mechanisms underscores the importance of precise detection tools like anti-AFP antibody (E-7) in advancing cancer research and improving patient outcomes.
