SEE ALSO...

AFP Antibody (39) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody designed to detect Alpha-fetoprotein (AFP), also known as Alpha 1 Fetoprotein or Alpha-fetoglobulin, with exceptional affinity for recombinant human AFP. Anti-AFP antibody (39) is validated for use in western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), ensuring reliable detection of AFP across mouse, rat, and human samples. AFP is a critical glycoprotein predominantly synthesized in the fetal liver, where AFP plays a vital role in transporting essential ligands such as copper, nickel, and fatty acids, as well as interacting with proteins like serum albumin and estrogen receptors. These interactions are crucial for maintaining physiological balance during development and for the regulation of cell growth and differentiation. In adult tissues, AFP levels are typically minimal; however, elevated AFP is a significant biomarker for hepatocellular carcinoma and other liver-related cancers, making AFP monoclonal antibody (39) an indispensable tool for early cancer detection and monitoring tumor progression. Additionally, AFP interacts with various transcription factors, including NF-1 and HNF-1, which regulate AFP expression and are involved in critical cellular pathways. The ability of AFP to bind with these proteins underscores AFP′s multifunctional nature and importance in both normal physiology and disease states. Anti-AFP antibody (39) is available in both non-conjugated form and multiple conjugated variants, including horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and various Alexa Fluor® conjugates, providing versatility for diverse experimental requirements.
