    SEE ALSO...

AFAP-1L2 Antibody (12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects AFAP-1L2 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF). Anti-AFAP-1L2 antibody (12) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. AFAP-1L2, also known as XB130, is a cytoplasmic protein consisting of 818 amino acids and features two Pleckstrin homology (PH) domains, which are critical for its role in intracellular signaling. AFAP-1L2 is primarily expressed in the thyroid and spleen, with lower expression levels found in the lung, brain, pancreas, and kidney. AFAP-1L2 is involved in the regulation of actin organization and interacts with Src kinases, suggesting a potential role in Src-regulated transcription activation. Four isoforms of AFAP-1L2, generated through alternative splicing, add complexity to its functional repertoire, allowing for diverse regulatory mechanisms in cellular signaling pathways. By linking signaling molecules to actin filaments, AFAP-1L2 provides a scaffold for the assembly of larger signaling complexes, thereby influencing various cellular processes.
