Adenovirus-5 E1A Antibody (M58) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects Adenovirus-5 E1A, with species reactivity in non-species reactive (NSR) samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry. Anti-Adenovirus-5 E1A antibody (M58) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. E1A plays a crucial role in early stages of adenoviral infection, as E1A is essential for transformation and immortalization of primary cells. Specifically, E1A interacts with retinoblastoma protein (pRb) and cyclin A, forming complexes that regulate cell cycle and transcription of other viral genes. This interaction allows viral hijacking of host cell machinery, promoting viral replication and pathogenesis. E1A′s ability to modulate transcription of specific cellular genes underscores E1A′s importance in both viral biology and potential therapeutic applications, making Adenovirus-5 E1A (M58) monoclonal antibody an invaluable tool for researchers studying adenoviral infections and host cellular processes.
