ADAMTS-1 Antibody (3E4C6B4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects ADAMTS-1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF). ADAMTS-1, also known as METH-1, C3-C5, and KIAA1346, belongs to a novel family of proteins characterized by metalloprotease, disintegrin, and Thrombospondin domains, which play crucial roles in various biological processes. ADAMTS-1 is primarily secreted and undergoes proteolytic processing, exhibiting significant homology with ADAMTS-2, yet displaying distinct expression patterns across different tissues and cell lines. ADAMTS-1 has shown greater anti-angiogenic activity than Thrombospondin-1 or endostatin, making ADAMTS-1 a potential therapeutic target for inhibiting new blood vessel formation in various tumor types. A spacer region and Thrombospondin type I motifs at the carboxy-terminus are essential for anchoring ADAMTS-1 to the extracellular matrix, facilitating functional roles in modulating tumor microenvironment and influencing cellular interactions. Anti-ADAMTS-1 antibody (3E4C6B4) serves as a valuable tool for researchers investigating angiogenesis mechanisms and therapeutic potential in cancer and other diseases.
