ADAMTS-1 Antibody (3C8F4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects ADAMTS-1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry. Anti-ADAMTS-1 antibody (3C8F4) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ADAMTS-1, also known as METH-1, C3-C5, and KIAA1346, plays a crucial role in regulating extracellular matrix components and is involved in processes such as angiogenesis and tissue remodeling. ADAMTS-1 is secreted and undergoes proteolytic processing, which is essential for modulating the activity of other proteins within the extracellular matrix. ADAMTS-1′s structure includes metalloprotease, disintegrin, and thrombospondin domains, which are vital for interactions with various substrates and other proteins. These domains allow ADAMTS-1 to effectively inhibit angiogenesis, making ADAMTS-1 a potential therapeutic target in cancer treatment, where new blood vessel formation is critical for tumor growth and metastasis. The spacer region and thrombospondin type I motifs at ADAMTS-1′s carboxy-terminus are important for anchoring to the extracellular matrix, influencing biological activity and interactions with other matrix components.

I am using ADAMTS-1 (3C8F4): sc-47727 monoclonal antibody to stain paraffin embedded tissue. Do you recommend antigen retrieval when using this antibody?
