ACRV1 Antibody (A-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects ACRV1 protein of mouse origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ACRV1 (A-9) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ACRV1, also known as acrosomal protein SP-10 or SPACA2, is a 265 amino acid protein encoded by a gene located on human chromosome 11q24.2, which is situated at the junction between 11q23 and 11q24. ACRV1 plays a significant role in sperm-zona binding and penetration, processes essential for successful fertilization. ACRV1 is expressed specifically in the testis and is associated with acrosomal membranes and the mature sperm matrix, originating from the acrosomal vesicle during spermatogenesis. ACRV1 has been identified as a potential immunogen for contraceptive vaccines, highlighting its importance in reproductive biology and potential applications in fertility control.
