    SEE ALSO...

ACOX2 Antibody (D-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects ACOX2 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ACOX2 (D-10) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ACOX2, or acyl-Coenzyme A oxidase 2, is a 681 amino acid protein localized in the peroxisome and belongs to the acyl-CoA oxidase family. ACOX2 plays a crucial role in metabolizing branched-chain fatty acids and bile acid intermediates, facilitating their degradation within peroxisomes. Proper functioning of ACOX2 is vital for lipid metabolism and energy homeostasis, as defects can lead to severe metabolic disorders, including Zellweger syndrome, a rare congenital condition characterized by the absence of functional peroxisomes, often resulting in early mortality. ACOX2 exists as a heterodimer and utilizes flavin adenine dinucleotide (FAD) as a cofactor to catalyze oxidation reactions, underscoring ACOX2′s importance in cellular metabolism and potential consequences of dysfunction.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-374251 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: Randy McDonald
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
