AChRγ/ε Antibody (168) is a rat monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects AChRγ/ε in Torpedo, Xenopus, Rana, and bovine species by western blotting (WB), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP). AChRγ and AChRε are integral components of the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor family, which plays a crucial role in neuromuscular transmission and synaptic signaling. These receptors are primarily located at the postsynaptic membrane of the neuromuscular junction and central nervous system synapses, where rapid signal transmission occurs through ion flow via transmembrane aqueous pores upon acetylcholine binding. Proper functioning of AChRγ and AChRε remains vital for muscle contraction and overall neuromuscular health, as mutations in genes encoding these proteins can lead to severe conditions such as Escobar syndrome and congenital myasthenic syndrome. Anti-AChRγ/ε antibody (168) serves as an essential tool for researchers studying these receptors′ roles in synaptic transmission and implications in neuromuscular disorders, enabling reliable detection and analysis in various experimental settings.
