AChRδ Antibody (C-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects AChRδ of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). AChRδ (C-4) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. AChRδ, also known as CHRND, is a critical component of the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor, which plays a vital role in synaptic transmission at the neuromuscular junction. This receptor is composed of five homologous subunits that form a transmembrane aqueous pore, allowing ions to flow in response to acetylcholine binding. Proper functioning of AChRδ is essential for muscle contraction and overall neuromuscular function, and dysfunction is associated with several congenital myasthenic syndromes, including slow-channel type and fast-channel type. AChRδ is also implicated in lethal type multiple pterygium syndrome, highlighting its importance in developmental processes. Understanding AChRδ interactions and modifications can provide insights into various neuromuscular disorders, making anti-AChRδ antibody (C-4) a valuable tool for researchers studying these critical pathways.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from works very well for western blottingIn western blotting this antibody specifically recognised a lysate extract from HEK293T cells transfected with human cDNA encoding the AChR delta subunit. A lysate from mock transfected HEK293T cells was not recognised at all. The antibody was diluted 1:100 and the secondary 1:500 but the primary could be diluted a lot more than this (autoradiograph exposed for about 1 second!)
