AChRβ2 Antibody (270) is a rat monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects AChR beta 2 of avian, mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF). Anti-AChR beta 2 antibody (270) is available as the non-conjugated format. AChR beta 2, also known as CHRNB2, plays a crucial role in nicotinic acetylcholine receptor function, essential for mediating fast synaptic transmission in the nervous system. Nicotinic acetylcholine receptors comprise five homologous subunits forming a transmembrane aqueous pore, allowing ions to flow in response to acetylcholine binding. Proper functioning of AChR beta 2 is vital for neuromuscular transmission, and dysfunction is associated with various neurological disorders, including nocturnal frontal lobe epilepsy type 3 (ENFL3). ENFL3 is characterized by nocturnal seizures and hyperkinetic movements, highlighting AChR beta 2 ′s importance in maintaining normal synaptic activity. Anti-AChR beta 2 antibody (270) serves as an invaluable tool for researchers studying synaptic transmission mechanisms and pathophysiology of related disorders, providing insights into interactions between neurotransmitters and receptors.
