Abin-1 Antibody (G-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Abin-1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Abin-1 (G-12) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Abin-1 protein, also known as TNIP1 (TNFAIP3 interacting protein 1), VAN, or NAF1 (nef-associated factor 1), consists of 636 amino acids and is primarily localized in both nucleus and cytoplasm, where Abin-1 shuttles between these compartments in a CRM1-dependent manner. This dynamic localization allows Abin-1 to participate in regulating various cellular processes, including modulation of nuclear import and export activities. Abin-1 is ubiquitously expressed, with highest levels found in spleen and skeletal muscle, and plays a significant role in cellular signaling by interacting with A20, which interferes with TRAF2-mediated transactivation signals, effectively inhibiting TNF-induced NFκB expression. Furthermore, Abin-1 can be incorporated into HIV-1 virions, and Abin-1 overexpression inhibits viral replication, highlighting potential importance in both immune response and viral pathogenesis. Additionally, multiple Abin-1 isoforms arise from alternative splicing events, further diversifying functional roles in cellular mechanisms.
