ABCE1 Antibody (F-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects ABCE1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ABCE1 (F-1) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ABCE1, also known as RNS4I or RLI, plays a crucial role in the 2-5A/RNase L pathway, which is integral to the action of interferons (IFNs). This pathway is activated upon IFN stimulation, leading to the synthesis of 2-5A oligomers that subsequently activate RNase L, resulting in the degradation of mRNA and inhibition of protein synthesis. The interaction between ABCE1 and RNase L is vital for the regulation of this pathway, as it is influenced by the relative concentrations of these proteins. Furthermore, ABCE1 is implicated in broader physiological processes, such as the regulation of RNA stability in mammalian cells, highlighting its importance in cellular responses to viral infections and stress.
