    SEE ALSO...

A cyclase X Antibody (B-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects A cyclase X protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-A cyclase X antibody (B-1) is available as the non-conjugated form. A cyclase X protein, also known as ADCY10, is a soluble adenylyl cyclase consisting of 1,610 amino acids and plays a crucial role in converting ATP to cyclic AMP (cAMP), a vital second messenger involved in numerous physiological processes. cAMP is essential for mediating the effects of various hormones and neurotransmitters, influencing key cellular functions such as metabolism, gene transcription, and memory formation. Notably, A cyclase X acts as a bicarbonate sensor, which is particularly important in regulating spermatogenesis, highlighting its significance in reproductive health. A cyclase X exists in three alternatively spliced isoforms that localize to both the cytoplasm and cell membrane, allowing for versatile signaling capabilities in response to receptor-initiated signals mediated by Gs and Gi heterotrimeric G proteins. A cyclase X′s ability to respond to these signals underscores its importance in maintaining cellular homeostasis and facilitating communication within and between cells.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-515097 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: Dr Ninau Qelp
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
