3BP2 Antibody (C-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects 3BP2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). 3BP2 (C-5) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. 3BP2 plays a crucial role in T cell signaling, acting as a Syk family kinase-interacting protein (SKIP) that is predominantly expressed in spleen and peripheral blood leukocytes. 3BP2′s unique structure includes a proline-rich domain and an SH2 domain, which facilitate interaction with other proteins, such as Flt3/Flk2 receptors and phosphorylated Syk, LAT, and ZAP-70 proteins. Upon T cell receptor stimulation, 3BP2 translocates from the cytoplasm to the membrane, where 3BP2 associates with protein tyrosine kinase complexes, thereby enhancing T cell activation. Overexpression of 3BP2, particularly SH2 and proline-rich domains, has been shown to activate key transcription factors like NFAT and AP-1, leading to upregulation of the IL-2 gene promoter. This highlights 3BP2′s importance in mediating T cell responses and potential implications in immune regulation and therapeutic interventions.
