26S Proteasome p42E Antibody (IH12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects 26S Proteasome p42E of Drosophila melanogaster origin by western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). Anti-26S Proteasome p42E antibody (IH12) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. 26S proteasome is a crucial multi-subunit complex responsible for degrading ubiquitinated proteins, a process vital for maintaining cellular homeostasis and regulating various biological pathways, including cell cycle, apoptosis, and responses to oxidative stress. 26S proteasome consists of over 30 distinct subunits, with p42E being an integral part of 19S regulatory complex, which is essential for recognizing and processing ubiquitinated substrates. This complex not only removes ubiquitin chains but also facilitates substrate translocation into 20S core for degradation. Assembly of 26S proteasome is ATP-dependent, and due to large size, prone to disassociation into smaller subcomplexes, which can impact functionality. Understanding p42E subunit role is critical for elucidating mechanisms of protein regulation and degradation in eukaryotic cells, making 26S Proteasome p42E (IH12) antibody a valuable tool for researchers studying proteasomal function and disease implications.
