26S Proteasome p39A Antibody (50) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects 26S Proteasome p39A of Drosophila melanogaster origin by western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). Anti-26S Proteasome p39A antibody (50) is available in non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. 26S proteasome is a crucial multi-subunit complex responsible for degrading ubiquitinated proteins, a process vital for maintaining cellular homeostasis and regulating numerous biological pathways, including cell cycle progression and stress responses. 26S proteasome consists of over 30 distinct subunits, with 26S Proteasome p39A, also known as Rpn9 in yeast and S11 in humans, being one of the non-ATPase lid subunits of the 19S regulatory complex. This subunit plays a significant role in proteasome assembly and stability, ensuring effective recognition and processing of ubiquitinated substrates. 19S regulatory complex identifies ubiquitin-tagged proteins, removes ubiquitin chains, and facilitates protein translocation into the 20S core for degradation. Proper functioning of 26S proteasome is critical for cellular health, as dysregulation can lead to various diseases, including cancer and neurodegenerative disorders.
