20S Proteasome α7/α8 Antibody (B-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects 20S Proteasome α7 in mouse and rat samples, as well as 20S Proteasome α8 in human samples through western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-20S Proteasome α7/α8 antibody (B-4) is available in non-conjugated and multiple conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and various Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The proteasome maintains cellular homeostasis by degrading unnecessary or damaged proteins, a process essential for regulating cellular functions, including cell cycle, signaling pathways, and responses to oxidative stress. The 20S Proteasome core comprises multiple subunits forming a cylindrical structure, enabling selective substrate entry into its catalytic chamber. This arrangement ensures efficient protein breakdown while maintaining tight regulation to prevent harmful protein accumulation within cells.
