SEE ALSO...

14-3-3 θ Antibody (5J20) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects 14-3-3 theta protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), flow cytometry (FCM), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-14-3-3 theta antibody (5J20) is available as non-conjugated format. 14-3-3 theta protein plays a crucial role in regulating various cellular processes, particularly in cancer biology, where 14-3-3 theta protein is involved in apoptosis, mitogenic signaling, and cell-cycle checkpoints. 14-3-3 theta protein is primarily located in the cytoplasm, where 14-3-3 theta protein interacts with a wide range of partner proteins, facilitating proper function and localization. Cytoplasmic presence of 14-3-3 theta protein allows regulation of signaling pathways essential for cell survival and proliferation. Through sequestering target proteins in the cytoplasm, 14-3-3 theta protein prevents degradation and modulates activity, influencing critical cellular responses to stress and growth signals. Formation of dimers by 14-3-3 proteins creates binding sites for ligands sharing consensus binding motifs, underscoring importance in maintaining cellular homeostasis. Loss of expression or dysfunction of 14-3-3 theta protein can lead to dysregulation of these pathways, contributing to various pathological conditions, including cancer.
