SEE ALSO...

WIPI-4 Antibody (G-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects WIPI-4 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). WIPI-4 (G-12) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. WIPI-4 protein, also known as WD repeat domain phosphoinositide-interacting protein 4 or WDR45, is a 360 amino acid protein characterized by the presence of three WD repeats, which are structural motifs that facilitate protein-protein interactions. These WD repeats contribute to WIPI-4′s ability to engage in critical cellular processes, including autophagy and endosomal trafficking, by mediating interactions with phosphoinositides. WIPI-4′s importance lies in regulating autophagy, a vital cellular mechanism for degrading and recycling cellular components, which is essential for maintaining cellular homeostasis and responding to stress. WIPI-4 is ubiquitously expressed, with highest levels found in heart and skeletal muscle, and exists in three alternatively spliced isoforms, highlighting diverse functional roles across different tissues.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-398272 P appropriate for?

Asked by: DefinitelyNotMatt
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
