TSC-36 Antibody (JJ7) is a high quality monoclonal TSC-36 antibody (also designated TSC-36 antibody) suitable for the detection of the TSC-36 protein of mouse, rat and human origin. TSC-36 Antibody (JJ7) is available as the non-conjugated anti-TSC-36 antibody. TSC-36 (also known as TGF-b1-stimulated clone 36, or FRP (follistatin-related protein 1) is a secreted extracellular glycoprotein. The amino acid sequence of TSC-36 is similar to follistatin, an inhibitor of activin, as it contains a follistatin module. TSC-36 is a heparin-binding protein suggested to have a role in the negative regulation of cellular growth, as its expression is induced in response to TGF-b1. In addition, TSC-36 is not found in small cell lung cancer (SCLC) cells, a highly aggressive neoplasm, but is detected in some non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) cells, a moderately aggressive neoplasm.
For Research Use Only. Not Intended for Diagnostic or Therapeutic Use.
How much sample do you recommend loading on the gel for Western blot detection using TSC-36 (JJ7): sc-80408?
Asked by: Germaine
We recommend loading 40–60 µg whole cell lysate, 10–20 µg nuclear extract, 5-10 µg transfected lysate, or 10–20 ng purified protein per lane. A link to our complete Western blotting protocol is provided here for your reference.
