SEE ALSO...

IRF-2 Antibody (G-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects IRF-2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). IRF-2 (G-10) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. IRF-2 protein plays a crucial role in regulating immune responses, particularly in type I interferon signaling. IRF-2 protein is primarily located in the nucleus, where IRF-2 functions as a transcriptional regulator. Nuclear localization allows IRF-2 protein to interact directly with DNA and modulate interferon-inducible gene expression. DNA binding capability within promoters of these genes is essential for maintaining balance between immune activation and repression, critical for preventing excessive inflammation and autoimmunity. IRF-2 protein′s interaction with other interferon regulatory factor family members, such as IRF-1, highlights IRF-2′s importance in immune regulation networks, where IRF-2 can either promote or inhibit gene expression depending on cellular context.

Do you have western blot image of IRF2 in THP1 cells ? I purchased your antibody and tested it. I see two bands - the stronger band has the size that is about 40 kD and weaker band (about 1/5th in signal strength compared to stronger band) at ~50 kD.

Asked by: Lodoe
Thank you for your question. We do not currently have any WB data in THP1 cells. Please reach out to our Technical Service Department for assistance in troubleshooting this antibody. We are happy to help!

What application is the blocking peptide sc-374327 P appropriate for?

Asked by: AbPolly
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
