IRF-2 Antibody (G-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects IRF-2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). IRF-2 (G-10) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. IRF-2 protein plays a crucial role in regulating immune responses, particularly in type I interferon signaling. IRF-2 protein is primarily located in the nucleus, where IRF-2 functions as a transcriptional regulator. Nuclear localization allows IRF-2 protein to interact directly with DNA and modulate interferon-inducible gene expression. DNA binding capability within promoters of these genes is essential for maintaining balance between immune activation and repression, critical for preventing excessive inflammation and autoimmunity. IRF-2 protein′s interaction with other interferon regulatory factor family members, such as IRF-1, highlights IRF-2′s importance in immune regulation networks, where IRF-2 can either promote or inhibit gene expression depending on cellular context.
