DACH1 Antibody (A-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects DACH1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). DACH1 Antibody (A-6) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. DACH1, or Dachshund homolog 1, is a 758 amino acid protein that serves as a crucial transcription factor localized in the nucleus, playing a significant role in the regulation of gene expression during organogenesis, particularly in eye development. DACH1 inhibits the TGF-beta signaling pathway through interactions with SMAD4 and NCOR1, which is vital for maintaining proper cellular functions and preventing aberrant growth. Additionally, DACH1 has been implicated in tumor suppression, as DACH1 can block cellular proliferation and inhibit the growth of human breast cancer cells. Notably, DACH1 exists in four isoforms due to alternative splicing, which may contribute to diverse regulatory functions in various tissues.
